Although UCLA and Washington had similar times of possession, the Bruins dominated the Huskies in rushing yards and converted 3 fourth downs to come out on top at Husky Stadium, 24-17.
Washington was first on the scoreboard with a 25-yard field goal by Peyton Henry in the first quarter. UCLA answered with a touchdown on a 17-yard pass from Dorian Thompson-Robinson to Kam Brown
UCLA followed that in the second quarter sith a 39-yard field goal by Nicholas Barr-Mira and a one-yard touchdown run by QB Thompson-Robinson and a point-after by Barr-Mira. Washington stayed in the game with a 26-yard touchdown pass from Dylan Morris to Rome Odunza to close out the half.
Wsahington came out of the lockeroom and evened the score with a one-yard run into the end zone by Dylan Morris, followed by a point-after by Henry. UCLA failed to score in the third quarter.
However, Thompson-Robinson connected on a nine-yard pass to Greg Dulcich in the fourth quarter to put the Bruins ahead in the fourth quarter. A point-after kick by Barr-Mira nailed the coffin shut, giving UCLA the win over Washington.
The next game for the Bruins will be at home against Oregon.
