October 11, 2021

Burglary – 12:29 a.m. – 5900 block of Lakeshore Dr. – Officers responded to the listed location regarding a burglary alarm call for service. Upon officers arriving, they observed a broken window on the west side of the business and two suspects fleeing on foot southbound from the business towards the railroad tracks. A perimeter was established. Officers located both suspects in front of a location in the 5600 block of Lincoln Avenue. Both subjects were taken into custody without incident. Video surveillance showed both subjects burglarizing the business. The suspects were arrested for burglary and resisting arrest.
Catalytic Converter Theft – 1:47 p.m. – 4400 block of Nestle – On October 5, an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle, valued at $3300.

October 12, 2021

Burglary/Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 5:10 a.m. – 4700 block of Lincoln Ave. – A subject crashed a stolen 1995 Honda Prelude into the glass doors of the business to gain access and steal the cash register. The vehicle was discovered to be an unreported stolen vehicle out of Stanton and the loss was the cash register containing $100. The suspect was described as male, white, last seen wearing a red hat, gray sweatshirt, black back brace, and gray pants.
Arrest – 2:58 p.m. – 5400 block of Katella Ave. – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for several warrants. The subject had been identified as a habitual thief and was in the process of loading up several high valued items before he abandoned the theft and left the business.
Assist Outside Agency – 10:56 p.m. – 5600 block of Spa Dr. (Huntington Beach) – A Cypress Officer assisted Huntington Beach Police Department with a search for a parolee who had fled from officers. The subject surrendered in a rear yard.

October 13, 2021

Vehicle Burglary – 7:46 a.m. – 9800 block of Avenida Mateo – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect broke into victim’s two vehicles and stole credit cards, the victim’s driver’s license, and baby items.
Stolen Vehicle – 4:58 p.m. – 6000 block of Lime – Sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. today, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s black 2021 Hyundai Tucson.

October 14, 2021

Burglary Investigation – 4:23 a.m. – 4800 block of Tremezzo – A male subject was found to have a no-bail burglary warrant for his arrest. The subject was arrested for residential burglary, and the warrant.
Burglary – 8:06 a.m. – 4800 block of Ariano Dr. – Between 11 p.m. the previous evening and time of call, the victim’s garage door opener was stolen from their unlocked vehicle. The suspect used the garage door opener to access the closed garage and stole two bicycles and a backpack containing electronics and paperwork. It was later discovered the victim’s stolen property had been recovered hours earlier during a separate burglary investigation and arrest.

October 15, 2021

Grand Theft – 9:32 a.m. – 10900 block of Yamaha Wy. – Between 10/14/21 at 9:30 p.m. and time of call, an unknown suspect stole the wheels and tires off the victim’s Jeep Compass rental car. The loss was valued at $8,000.
Theft – 2:30 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – Officers responded to the location regarding a known theft suspect possibly preparing to steal merchandise. Officers contacted and arrested a male subject for shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor bench warrant
Theft by False Pretense – 3:40 p.m. – 6100 block of Tonga Cir. – The victim paid the suspect $15,000 in Bitcoin upon being told her son would be held in jail for a DUI until his fine was paid.

October 16, 2021

Cypress 5k/10k – 7:00 a.m. – 5200 block of Orange Ave. – Officers from Cypress PD and personnel from multiple Orange County agencies assisted with traffic control for the Cypress 5k/10k Run/Walk.
Traffic Stop – 9:47 p.m. – Lincoln/Walker – From a traffic stop, a male subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

October 17, 2021

Grand Theft – 7:40 p.m. – 10600 block of Valley View St. – The victim parked his 2018 Toyota Tundra in the west parking lot at 7 a.m. and returned at 6 p.m. to find his catalytic converter had been stolen.
