October 7, 2021

Counseling – 12:45 p.m. – 7300 block of Spruce Cir. – The caller’s mother wears a Rolex watch and a couple reportedly attempted to lure her to swap jewelry that was offered by them. The subjects had been driving a white SUV with a Washington or Florida licence plate. No crime at this time. Counseled.
Medical Aid – 7:05 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A customer reportedly fell in the parking lot and hit their head. The subject was bleeding from the head. OCFA responded and the subject was transported to the hospital by ambulance.

October 8, 2021

Animal Call – 5:12 p.m. – 4500 block of Sharon Dr. – The caller reported a possible ongoing issue with two large pit bulls in the backyard of the residence. A couple of bricks were missing from the block wall, and the reporting party was concerned that the dogs may be able to hop the fence. Police determined that the dogs were not causing an emergent situation at this time and the reporting party would need to contact SEAACA.
Police Information – 6:19 p.m. – 4700 block of El Rancho Verde Dr. – Mylar balloons were reportedly in the power lines. OCFA was notified and Southern California Edison was en route.

October 9, 2021

Vehicle Tampering – 8:32 a.m. – 7900 block of Walker St. – Two catalytic convertors were reportedly stolen from a 2005 Toyota Sequoia between 6:58 p.m. and 7:35 a.m. Report taken.
Assist Other Department – 1:50 p.m. – Stanton/Crescent (Buena Park) – A welfare check was requested on two male subjects who were reportedly having trouble walking. The subjects were possibly under the influence of drugs or had been drinking. Police contacted two subjects as part of a traffic stop and performed a vehicle search. One subject was arrested for a bench warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge and having open containers where prohibited.
Person Down – 3:40 p.m. – 7800 block of Valley View St. – A male subject was reportedly laying on the sidewalk. Police contacted the subject, who was found to just be taking a nap. The subject declined any services and headed southbound on Valley View. Party advised and will comply.

October 10, 2021

Robbery – 10:00 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject reportedly took money from the register by giving a note saying “Put all the money in a bag.” The subject was described a s male black wearing black sunglasses, a gray sweater, black pants, a black face mask, and black Nike shoes, as well as blue latex gloves. The loss was $366.40. Surveillance footage was requested from nearby businesses. Report taken.
Suspicious Subject – 7:55 p.m. – 8400 block of Moody St. – The caller reported suspicious subjects in the area who attempted to sell the caller a watch and cigarettes. Police were unable to locate the subjects.

October 11, 2021

Traffic Hazard – 9:59 p.m. – Walker/Orangethorpe – A large bundle of grass was reportedly blocking northbound traffic on Walker between Orangethorpe and 183rd. Police located a large tumbleweed and moved it to the side of the roadway to be removed by Public Works.
Traffic Stop – 11:59 p.m. – Carmenita/91 Fwy. – Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle south of Carmenita/91 Freeway. During the traffic stop, a search was performed and police arrested a 56-year-old Norwalk resident for possession of a controlled substance, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, and no evidence of current registration.

October 12, 2021

Vehicle Tampering Report – 9:34 a.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – A catalytic convertor was stolen from a Chevy Express van on Saturday at 3:22 p.m. The reporting party had video surveillance and suspect information. Report taken.
Vehicle Burglary – 10:15 a.m. – Cenerpointe Dr. – The caller reported a window smash to the rear passenger-side window of a vehicle. The incident occurred between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. No loss at this time. Report taken.

October 13, 2021

Vehicle Tampering Report – 9:47 a.m. – 8000 block of Yorkshire Cir. – A catalytic convertor was reportedly stolen from a 2003 Honda Accord. Report taken.
Counseling – 11:47 a.m. – 5000 block of Andrew Dr. – The caller requested counseling regarding a civil issue with the neighbor’s kids throwing or playing with rocks and hit the caller’s vehicle.
Disturbance (Family) – 8:41 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – The caller reported a male subject and a female subject yelling at each other in front of a child approximately 11 years old. Police were unable to locate the male subject, but contacted the female subject who stated that they were not in any altercation and they did not need assistance.
