Commuter Alert: Spandrel operation on Ledroit Street in Laguna Beach

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is scheduled to conduct spandrel work on Ledroit Street at Pacific Coast Highway (SR-1) in the City of Laguna Beach. The work will begin Wednesday, October 27, 2021 from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. and will continue through Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 9 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Flaggers will be present to monitor traffic. Access to Ledroit Street will be limited. The left turn lane will be closed on PCH southbound at Ledroit St. Motorists will be able to access Ledroit Street from Northbound PCH, but not from Southbound PCH. Additionally, the south side of Ledroit St. will be closed for this work. This is part of the Coast Highway ADA Sidewalk Improvement Project that began last month. Project construction will continue on SR-1, between Ledroit Street and Ruby Street in the City of Laguna Beach.

Caltrans appreciates the public’s patience while we perform this work. Electronic Changeable Messages Signs will notify drivers of the closure. The work schedule is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, and/or construction-related issues.
