NOCCCD Chancellor finalists announced, open forums set

The three finalists in the selection process for the new Chancellor of the North Orange County Community College District (NOCCCD) will participate in open forums on Thursday, November 4, 2021.

The finalists are:

  • Dr. Byron Clift Breland, current Chancellor at San Jose-Evergreen Community College District
  • Dr. Jack S. Kahn, current Assistant Superintendent/Vice President of Instruction, Palomar College
  • Dr. Christopher Villa, past President at Portland Community College – Rock Creek

The forums are free and open to the community and are scheduled at the District’s two college campuses:

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, seating at this event is limited and attendees will need to show proof of vaccination. People who wish to attend the Open Forums in person must register for the campus of their choice at https://nocccd.edu/chancellorfinalists.

Anyone who is unable to attend the forums will be able to view the recordings on the District’s YouTube Channel beginning the afternoon of November 4.

All comments from the feedback forums submitted by the deadline will be shared for review by the Board of Trustees.

The Board will interview the finalists on November 6, 2021. Plans are to announce the Chancellor soon, with a start date of early 2022.
