October 14, 2021
Traffic Collision – 3:42 p.m. – Walker/Orangethorpe – A possible traffic collision occurred involving two vehicles on Orangethorpe as a result of a pursuit by an unknown law enforcement agency. One subject complained of chest pain. Paramedics were requested. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office was on scene and advised that an LASO unit out of Norwalk was in pursuit. Report taken. Public Works responded to clean up the debris.
Counseling – 9:25 p.m. – 5200 block of Andrew Dr. – The reporting party requested counseling regarding concerns with the RP’s son threatening to run away. The son was last seen headed northbound on Del Mar from the residence with an unknown destination. Police located the subject at Andrew/Kevin. The subject advised that he wanted to ride around for a bit. Police reminded the subject of the curfew for minors and followed the subject to make sure he returned home. The subject returned home and went back inside the residence.
October 15, 2021
Traffic Stop – 1:36 a.m. – Moody/Orangethorpe – A vehicle was stuck in the drive-thru at the business. Police performed a traffic stop and arrested a female subject for bench warrants for failure to appear and for possession of unlawful paraphernalia. The subject was booked and transported to Orange County Jail.
Citizen Assist – 12:21 p.m. – 14000 block of 183rd St. – Vehicles were reportedly damaged from a weighted canopy being blown by the wind from a neighboring business. The reporting party attempted to contact the business owner but he refused to provide information. Police assisted parties in exchanging adequate information.
October 16, 2021
Disturbance (Juveniles) – 10:12 p.m. – 8200 block of Santa Margarita Ln. – Juveniles were reportedly banging/knocking on doors. Three other callers reported the same subjects. The fourth caller advised that the juveniles were hiding behind vehicles. Police contacted eight subjects, who were counseled and returned to a residence for a party.
Area Check – 10:32 p.m. – 5400 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller reported that a male subject in a vehicle had possibly been drinking and advised that the subject had struggled to pay inside the business and difficulty in finding keys. The subject was located headed southbound on Walker at Marview. The subject eventually yielded at Santa Margarita/La Luna. Following a field sobriety test, police arrested a 28-year-old subject for driving without a license, evading, and running a red light.
October 17, 2021
Traffic Stop – 10:08 a.m. – Walker/La Palma – During a traffic stop, police confirmed that a subject had an outstanding warrant. The subject was detained in handcuffs. Police arrested the 20-year-old Los Angeles resident for driving on a suspended/revoked license, no evidence of current registration, obstruction/resisting, and a bench warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge. The vehicle was towed from the location and impounded.
Warrant Service – 11:53 a.m. – 7792 Walker St. (La Palma Police Department) – A subject was advised about a warrant issued to him. The subject was arrested and booked at Orange County Jail.
October 18, 2021
Area Check – 5:18 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A liquor store employee flagged down an officer and advised that a subject possibly attempted to steal something. The employee was unsure if the subject took anything or not and would call if the subject returned.
Area Check – 6:11 p.m. – Edison Right-of-Way/Walker – The caller reported a large white bag filled with possibly trash was near the electrical meter. The caller believed the bag was suspicious. Police determined that the bag had trash with bottles inside. The bag was collected.
October 19, 2021
Counseling – 3:02 a.m. – 7400 block of Brian Ln. – The caller requested counseling regarding threats that were made via text message stating that they would slit his throat and drink his blood. The reporting party did not know who was making the threats. The reporting party was advised regarding empty threats.
Petty Theft Report – 1:20 p.m. – 5500 block of Driftwood Ave. – The caller reported the theft of a package from the porch. The caller had Ring video of the incident. The loss was valued at approximately $500. Report taken.
October 20, 2021
Suspicious Subject – 6:19 a.m. – Walker/Fresca – A male subject was reportedly standing where cars drive through for over the past hour. Police contacted the subject, who was subsequently arrested for trespassing, possession of a controlled substance, and a bench warrant for failure to appear on a felony charge.
Incident Report – 5:01 p.m. – 8000 block of Ainsworth Ln. – A neighbor had video surveillance of subjects going through the reporting party’s grandmother’s vehicle at 1 a.m. The vehicle was parked in the driveway. No loss. Report taken.
