Mob steals hammers and crowbars from Lakewood Home Depot

In yet another case of mob thievery, a group zeroed in on the tools department at the Home Depot store in Lakewood Center (5200 Hardwick St.), and grabbed hammers, sledge hammers, and crowbars.

Lakewood is served by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD). Details released by LASD:

At approximately 1946 hrs, on 11/26/21, approximately 8 MB/A’s entered the Home Depot (5200 Hardwick St, Lakewood) and walked directly to the tool aisle.

They then selected various hammers, sledgehammers and crowbars approximate value of 400 dollars.

The suspect(s) were then seen exiting the store with the selected items and possibly entering a red in color Mercedes Benz with severe damage to the front of the vehicle.

There were several other vehicles seen in the parking lot at the time of the above incident, however it is unknown if they were involved in the theft.

No other information is available at this time.

  1. What is even more brazen than robbing a store that is filled with shoppers is that this Home Depot is probably less than 100 yards away from the LA County Sheriff’s station that serves the city of Lakewood.
