November 22, 2021

Attempted Burglary – 7:17 a.m. – 6200 block of Ball Rd. – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect smashed the front glass door and attempted to pry open the rear door in an attempt to gain access into the business.
Suspicious Vehicle – 11:23 a.m. – Lincoln/Walker – From a suspicious vehicle call for service regarding a vehicle stuck on the center median, a male subject was arrested for possession of a loaded firearm. The firearm was located in the glove box.
Bomb Threat – 12:12 p.m. – 9800 block of Valley View St. – An unknown suspect called in a fictitious
bomb threat, indicating there were explosive devices placed in the trash cans. Nothing suspicious was located.

November 23, 2021

Hit and Run – 6:12 a.m. – Cerritos/Camden – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect crashed their vehicle into the southeast traffic signal knocking it down. There were no witnesses to the collision and the driver and suspect vehicle are unknown. Public Works was notified and responded for clean-up.
Vandalism – 10:34 a.m. – 6200 block of Ball Rd. – The reporting party located graffiti to the rear of the business that read “UNA 13” in blue spray paint. Video surveillance revealed the crime occurred on November 22, 2021 at 4 p.m., by a male and female suspect who were last seen leaving the area in a white Toyota. Public Works notified.
Theft – 4:24 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service of a theft that just occurred, a male subject was arrested for shoplifting approximately $500 worth of power tools. The property was recovered and returned.

November 24, 2021

Identity Theft – 3:40 p.m. – 9800 block of Walker St. – From a call for service of a female suspect
attempting to withdrawal money from an account using a fraudulent identification, a female subject was arrested for identity theft.
Road Rage/Vandalism – 10:48 p.m. – 5800 block of Walker St. – After a road rage incident in the drive through, the suspect exited his vehicle and keyed the victim’s Chevy Traverse causing approximately $2,000 damage. The suspect fled in a black Audi.
Assist Outside Agency – 11:00 p.m. – Emerald/Magnolia (Westminster) – Westminster Police Department requested any available units in the county to assist with a large residential neighborhood fire. Officers responded.
Assist Outside Agency – 11:45 p.m. – Westminster/Apollo (Seal Beach) – Cypress Police officers assisted Seal Beach Police Department with a K9 search for a suspect who fled on foot after a stolen vehicle pursuit. Only the passenger was located.

November 25, 2021

Robbery – 2:36 p.m. – 10000 block of Valley View St. – A male subject was arrested for robbery after he assaulted the store manager while stealing 6 bottles of alcohol.
Assist Outside Agency – 10400 block of Stratton – Orange County Sheriff’s Department asked Cypress Police to contact the resident because they had stopped a subject who had her property in his possession. Cypress Police made contact with the resident and determined she had been a victim of theft sometime yesterday. Over $7K worth of property was located and returned to the victim. The subject was arrested by OCSD.

November 26, 2021

Stolen Vehicle – 4:50 a.m. – Knott/Katella – From a LoJack hit, officers located a stolen Ford Expedition parked at a business on the corner of Knott/Katella. The driver entered the vehicle and left the area. As units attempted to get behind the vehicle, it sped off at a high rate of speed and made a westbound turn into the 10400 block of Knott in Anaheim and crashed into a brick wall at the west end of the complex. The driver fled westbound and a perimeter was established. Officers from Garden Grove, Los Alamitos, Anaheim and Orange County Sheriff’s Department arrived on scene to assist. After an extensive OCSD K9 search, the suspect was not located. At the time of this log, officers were still searching the vehicle for potential stolen property from other cities. The investigation is still on going.
Burglary – 11:30 a.m. – 9100 block of Valley View St. – An unknown suspect broke into 7 storage units some time over the past month by way of a door and/or lock pry. At the time of discovery and reporting, the property manager was in the process of contacting the separate victims so a loss could be confirmed. An initial report was taken, but likely more reports or supplemental reports will follow once the victims come forward.
Petty Theft – 7:24 p.m. – 4300 block of Lincoln Ave. – Two juveniles stole a container of mini liquor
bottles valued at approximately $50-100. They were last seen in a white Mitsubishi eastbound through the parking lot.
Arrest – 8:06 p.m. – 4500 block of Blanca – The vehicle from the above call was causing a disturbance in front of the location. Officers detained the vehicle and four subjects and after an in-field show up, a juvenile was arrested for shoplifting. The juvenile was released at the scene to an adult family member. The remaining liquor bottles were returned.

November 27, 2021

Grand Theft from a Vehicle – 7:40 a.m. – 9900 block of Juanita – Sometime on Thursday (11/25/21), an unknown suspect gained access to the victim’s vehicle and stole golf clubs, a passport, baseball gear and change.
Arrest – 11:21 p.m. – 5800 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service, a male subject was arrested for burglary, grand theft, possession of stolen property and burglary tools, after he was seen breaking into the Christmas tree lot shed and taking several chainsaws, a cash register and miscellaneous tools valued at approximately $1400.

November 28, 2021

Arrest – 6:42 a.m. – 5000 block of Cumberland Dr. – From a call for service of a male sleeping in
a vehicle, a male subject was arrested for obstructing/delaying an officer, possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property and mail theft. Several pieces of stolen mail were recovered from his vehicle and returned to victims.
Vandalism – 8:54 a.m. – 9200 block of Valley View St. – From a call for service of a vandalism that just occurred, police located and detained subject after he scratched the paint of the victim’s vehicle with a large safety pin. The victim was non-desirous of prosecution.
