Portion of West Haven Park in Garden Grove to close for renovations

From Monday, December 6 through, tentatively, April 2022, a portion of West Haven Park, north of Orange County Fire Authority Station 86, will be temporarily closed for turf renovations. West Haven Park’s south portion, playground, community meeting room, and parking lot on West Street will remain open to park goers. West Haven Park is located at 12252 West Street.

The improvements consist of the installation of new topsoil and grass seed. The area will remained fenced off through, tentatively, April 2022, to allow root establishment.

The $634,835 project is funded by the City’s Water Enterprise Fund and will be overseen by Kasa Construction Inc., awarded by the Garden Grove City Council on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

In 2018, West Haven Park underwent major park improvements, including construction of a themed playground, and a new 1,600 square-foot community meeting room.
