Don’t miss David Benoit’s Christmas Tribute to Charlie Brown

Don’t miss the David Benoit Christmas Tribute to Charlie Brown featuring Courtney Fortune which will take place Saturday, Dec 18, 2021 at 8pm at the Carpenter Performing Arts Center, 6200 E. Atherton Street, Long Beach, CA 90815.

Jazz pianist and composer David Benoit presents an evening of timeless Vince Guaraldi holiday tunes from the TV classic “A Charlie Brown Christmas” alongside season favorites. We can’t wait for you to join us for our last holiday show of the year!

One of the founding fathers of contemporary jazz, David Benoit’s love for the music from the 1965 Peanuts classic runs deep: he took over as music composer for new Charlie Brown Christmas TV specials more than a decade ago. After celebrating the music of Vince Guaraldi last year in a virtual concert, David Benoit returns to our stage to continue the holiday tradition, joined this year by vocalist Courtney Fortune, named “America’s next big jazz singer” by Genlux Magazine.

A Safe and Joyful Experience

When you attend David Benoit’s Christmas Tribute to Charlie Brown, you’re celebrating the safe return of holiday performances to the Carpenter Center.

Here’s how we’re making all our performances safe:

  • Everyone at the Carpenter Center—including the audience, performers, backstage crew, and staff members—is fully vaccinated or has shown proof of a recent negative COVID-19 PCR test result.
  • Masks are required for all audience members, staff, and crew, regardless of vaccination status.
  • We’ve upgraded our air filtration system, including greater fresh-air exchange.
  • We follow strict CDC guidelines in our facility, with all frequently touched surfaces being cleaned by approved disinfectants.

These steps allow us to once again gather together to enjoy the magic of live performances on our stage. We can’t wait for you to join us!
