December 6, 2021

Petty Theft – 7:01 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – At 6:45 p.m., an employee observed his bicycle locked to a post at the front of the business. At 7:00 p.m., he observed the bike had been stolen by an unknown suspect. The bicycle was a red and orange, Sunday, BMX-style bike valued at $800.00.
Traffic Collision – 9:26 p.m. – Orangewood/Valley View – A solo vehicle collided into the wall at the southwest corner of Orangewood and Valley View.

December 7, 2021

Disturbance (Subject) – 12:30 p.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call for service regarding guests refusing to leave the location, a subject was arrested for warrants and misappropriation of lost property and a second subject was arrested for warrants and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Grand Theft – 7:38 p.m. – 4000 block of Ball Rd. – Three males entered the business, filled their shopping carts with approximately $1,000 of alcohol and fled the store without paying.

December 8, 2021

Commercial Burglary – 4:38 a.m. – 4700 block of Lincoln Ave. – An unknown suspect smashed an east window at a business and stole $200.00 cash from the rear office. While officers were handling the above call, a second window smash was located at another business in the same complex.
Burglary – 5:03 a.m. – 5800 block of Katella Ave. – Between 5 a.m. and the time of call, two male subjects entered the location and stole the ATM. The suspects fled the location in an older model white Chevrolet Silverado with an unknown license plate. The loss was approximately $4000.00 in cash.
Burglary – 6:21 a.m. – 4400 block of Lincoln Ave. – Officers responded to the location regarding a burglary alarm. Upon arrival, officers discovered unknown suspects smashed the north-facing window and gained access to the business. The loss was unknown.
Vehicle Burglary – 6:38 a.m. – 9300 block of Holder – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect forced entry into the victim’s vehicle and stole a laptop computer and an ID card.

December 10, 2021

Arrest – 7:03 a.m. – 5000 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a call of a subject slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle, a male subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of dangerous drugs, and paraphernalia.
Hit and Run – 3:05 p.m. – Cerritos/Valley View – A semi-truck made a westbound turn onto Cerritos from Valley View and struck a pole on the northwest corner, causing damage to the crosswalk button, which remained operational. The truck was last seen driving away westbound (NFD). No license plate was captured. Public Works notified.
Grand Theft – 3:52 p.m. – 11200 block of Anagada – A female subject driving a red SUV with a male
passenger contacted the victim while he was outside of his residence and attempted to sell him a necklace. The female called the victim to the vehicle and placed a necklace around his neck. While doing this, the female removed the victim’s necklace and drove away from the location. The loss is approximately $1000.

December 11, 2021

Grand Theft – 12:21 p.m. – 5400 block of Crescent Ave. – The victim had $6000-$9000 in crypto currency stolen.
Stolen Vehicle Investigation – 1:29 p.m. – 6000 block of Lime – Sometime overnight, the victim’s white 2020 Kia Sportage was stolen. The vehicle was entered into the Stolen Vehicle System, and it had been scanned by a license plate reader camera northbound on Pacific Coast Highway at Bradbury in Seal Beach at 8:45 a.m. today.
Robbery – 11:18 p.m. – 4900 block of Katella Ave. – A witness observed three males and female in a black Ford Taurus steal a catalytic converter from a vehicle in the parking lot. The witness attempted to stop them, and the suspects assault him with their vehicle and were last seen westbound on Katella Ave. The suspect vehicle was entered into the LPR system and was scanned at the 605 Freeway and Firestone in the City of Downey at approximately 11:29 p.m. At 12:15 a.m., Downey Police Department located the vehicle and conducted a felony stop. Officers responded to the scene and arrested the female for warrants. The male suspects and the catalytic converter were not located (after checking a local motel). The suspect vehicle was towed from the scene.

December 12, 2021

Vehicle Burglary – 8:58 a.m. – 6200 block of Trinidad Ave. – Occurred overnight, an unknown suspect used a decorative rock to smash the passenger window of the victim’s vehicle and stole her purse. The victim’s credit cards were then used at multiple locations throughout the day.
Grand Theft – 11:12 a.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – Occurred yesterday between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m., an unknown suspect cut and removed the catalytic converter from the victim’s Toyota Prius. Loss was valued at $3,000.00.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 12:54 p.m. – 6300 block of Lincoln Ave. – An officer located an unoccupied stolen vehicle blocking eastbound lanes of traffic on Lincoln Avenue. The vehicle was running and found to be cold plated (license plates removed). Vehicle was recovered and removed from SVS.
Assist Outside Agency – 11:02 p.m. – Seal Beach Blvd. (Seal Beach) – A K-9 Officer with Police Service Dog Bono responded to the listed address to assist Seal Beach Police Department with a search for a suspect who fled on foot from a stolen vehicle. While searching an apartment complex, directly to the rear of the original location, PSD Bono located the suspect hiding in a laundry room. The suspect surrendered and was taken into custody without incident
