December 2, 2021

Bike Stop – 11:26 p.m. – La Palma/Westra – Following a bike stop, police arrested a 28-year-old female subject for appropriation of lost property, possession of a narcotic controlled substance, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, and a bench warrant for failure to appear on misdemeanor charges. A 30-year-old male subject was also arrested for possession of a narcotic controlled substance, possession of unlawful paraphernalia, and a bench warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge.

December 3, 2021

Counseling – 9:49 a.m. – 5600 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – The caller stated that the caller’s husband was not paying his share of the rent due to having another relationship that he was supporting. Counseled.
Vehicle Burglary – 9:13 p.m. – 8200 block of Walker St. – A vehicle was broken into via window smash. The loss included a purse. Report taken.
Petty Theft Report – 9:18 p.m. – 8200 block of El Pescador Ln. – Two packages were reportedly taken from the front door. A Ring camera showed a male subject and a female subject as well as a red sedan. Report taken.

December 4, 2021

Burglary Report – 5:44 a.m. – 5500 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – An unknown subject entered via window smash and came behind the cash drawer, which was left empty on the floor. Report taken.
Suspicious Subject – 5:16 p.m. – 5700 block of Crestview Cir. – A subject was reportedly loading cinder blocks from a residence into a truck. The reporting party was a neighbor and believed that the homeowners were out of town and it was unknown if the subject was supposed to be at the residence. Police made contact with the subject and verified that he lived at the location with his girlfriend.

December 5, 2021

Theft by False Pretense – 5:14 p.m. – 7800 block of Comstock Cir. – The reporting party was attempting to purchase a cell phone from a subject on Facebook. The subject was directed to pay via EBay gift cards. The loss was $800. Report taken.

December 6, 2021

Incident Report – 1:25 p.m. – 8100 block of Walker St. – A student reportedly sent photos of herself to unknown subjects online. Report taken.
Found Property – 6:18 p.m. – 7400 block of Susan Cir. – The reporting party found a wallet in front of the residence at approximately 7:10 a.m. Nothing was missing from the wallet, which was returned to the owner.

December 7, 2021

Illegal Peddling – 1:03 p.m. – 7400 block of Susan Cir. – A male subject was reportedly going door to door, possibly soliciting. The subject didn’t look familiar to the area. Police contacted the subject, who was highly offended at being contacted by the police and refused to identify himself. The subject was sent on his way.
Assault/Battery Report – 7:51 p.m. – 8600 block of Santa Margarita Ln. – The reporting party stated that he was concerned due to his friend’s erratic behavior. The RP stated that the subject lunged at him, pushed him over, and placed his hands on the RP’s throat. The RP did not sustain any injuries, and the subject left prior to the arrival of police. No prosecution was desired. The RP was concerned for the subject’s wife and children but also stated that there was no indication that the subject wanted to harm them.

December 8, 2021

Disturbance (Juveniles) – 3:58 p.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – Approximately six juveniles had been on the roof and were now on a brick wall. Police contacted five subjects and stood by for the school administration. All parents were notified and the students were released to their parents.
Suspicious Subject – 9:45 p.m. – 7400 block of Susan Cir. – An unknown subject was reportedly knocking on the front door. The subject’s vehicle was parked on the corner. Police contacted the subject, who was advised regarding trespassing.
Bike Stop – 10:45 p.m. – La Palma/Denni (Cerritos) – A female subject was reportedly heard shouting “He has my purse”. Police contacted the female, who stated that she and the male are friends and that he took her bag playfully and threw it over the gate. Police located and detained the male subject in cuffs. The male subject was subsequently arrested for possession of unlawful paraphernalia and bench warrants for failure to appear on misdemeanor charges. The female was also arrested, for possession of controlled substance and a bench warrant for failure to appear on a misdemeanor charge. Both subjects were released on citation.
