Lestonnac hosting free Christmas Party for children of uninsured patients

Lestonnac Free Clinic, Southern California Firefighters, and the Boy Scouts Troop #824 will provide free toys to children on December 18th. The toys were collected from the 29th Anniversary of the Spark of Love Toy Drive and will be distributed to the children of patients at Lestonnac Free Clinic. Lestonnac only serves uninsured and low-income families in Southern California. While this event is not open to the public, it will be a special day for the patient’s children, starting with an invitation via a Golden Ticket reminiscent of the coveted passes to Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory or to the Polar Express. The actual event will be filled with food, games, and a visit from the City of Orange Fire Department Station 1 firefighters on a fire truck! The children will also get to meet and take photos with Santa Claus and The Grinch.

The Lestonnac Children’s Christmas Party was an annual event prior to the 2020 pandemic. The return of this celebration signifies a renewal of hope and joy for many of the uninsured patients and their families this holiday season.
