Senator Dave Min (D-Irvine) released the following statement upon news that Amplify Energy Corp.; Beta Operating Co. LLC; and San Pedro Bay Pipeline Co. were indicted by a federal grand jury:
“Today, justice was served. I am glad to see our system is working as intended and that those responsible for the damage to our beautiful coastline are being held to full account. Now, it’s time to get to work to ensure that this type of disaster never happens again, and there’s only one way to do that: by ending all offshore drilling off the coast of California. I look forward to introducing legislation in January that will do just that in state waters.”
