December 20, 2021

Suspicious Subject – 3:55 a.m. – 9200 block of Bloomfield – From a call for service of a suspicious person, a subject was arrested for possession of a loaded firearm and a concealed firearm.
Vehicle Burglary – 8:04 a.m. – 6800 block of Cerritos Ave. – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect smashed the driver side window to the victim’s vehicle and stole a Louis Vuitton duffel bag and Nike shoes valued at approximately $2400.00.
Vehicle Burglary – 8:10 p.m. – 9800 block of Sunny Cir. – On 12-29-21, the victim parked his 2020 Chevrolet Silverado. Today at 8:10 p.m., he observed an unknown suspect had shattered the driver side window and stole reading glasses valued at $150.00. At 3:45 p.m., a Ring camera captured a male subject in his early 20’s, with a black beard, jump over his south wall and walk around his vehicle and property.

December 21, 2021

Vehicle Burglary – 1:02 p.m. – 9700 block of Via Media – Sometime overnight, an unknown suspect gained entry into the victim’s vehicle by unknown means and stole cash, sunglasses, and tools.
Suspicious Subject – 1:41 p.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – From a suspicious person call for service and subsequent room search, Officers arrested a male subject for felon in possession of a loaded firearm, identity theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, and misappropriation of stolen property. A second subject was arrested for identity theft, possession of stolen property, and possession of a loaded firearm. The subjects were both transported and booked at Orange County Jail.
Rape Investigation – 2:09 p.m. – 5600 block of Lincoln Ave. – Sometime between 12-3-21 and 12-05-21, a juvenile female met a 39-year-old a local motel. Both subjects consumed alcohol, Xanax, and marijuana. During the course of the evening, the male sexually assaulted the female.

December 22, 2021

Found Property – 8:35 p.m. – 4500 block of Avenida Granada – The reporting party heard a disturbance in the restroom and observed nine male subjects in their 20s flee on foot. When the RP entered the restroom, he located a cash register that was taken from a Walgreens robbery in Garden Grove at 5 p.m. An officer from the Garden Grove Police Department responded and collected the evidence.

December 23, 2021

Hit and Run – 4:20 a.m. – 5900 block of Cerritos Ave. – An officer was hailed by a citizen regarding a hit & run that occurred in the Chevron parking lot. Officer stopped the suspect vehicle at Chapman and Valley View, where he arrested a subject for a warrant. The witness was unable to be located and no one was available to review the surveillance video at Chevron until later in the day.
Traffic Hazard – 8:57 p.m. – Valley View/Katella – A large tree fell due to the rain, blocking the number one and bicycle lane. Public Works was notified and responded to remove it.

December 24, 2021

Flooding – 12:55 a.m. – Moody/Myra – Pump station #1 was not working properly and approximately two feet of water was flooding the area. Public Works responded and reset the pump. The other pumps stations were working properly.
Burglary – 11:02 a.m. – 4900 block of Katella Ave. – An unknown suspect broke into the victim’s locker and stole a backpack containing a wallet, car keys, and books valued at $670.00.
Burglary – 11:15 a.m. – 9100 block of Valley View St. – Between 09-21-21 and 12-24-21, an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s storage unit and stole jewelry and electronics valued at approximately $3800.00.

December 25, 2021

Grand Theft – 12:09 p.m. – Enterprise/Flora Park Wy. – Occurred between 6:00 p.m. and time of call, the victim’s four tires were stolen off of his Lexus IS250. The wheels and tires were valued at approximately $4000. No suspect information.
Petty Theft – 6:14 a.m. – 4100 block of Dorset Dr. – At approximately 6:00 a.m., a female white with bleached blonde hair, burgundy jacket, and a black shirt approached the victim’s residence and stole a package and mail.

December 26, 2021

Vehicle Burglary – 3:24 p.m. – Southampton Drive/Matinicus Court – Occurred overnight, an unknown suspect gained entry to the victim’s vehicle via window smash and stole approximately $600.00 worth of tools.
Assist Outside Agency – 10:06 p.m. – Magnolia/Edinger (Westminster) – Police Service Dog Bono and his handler assisted Westminster Police Department with a felony car stop, where the suspect was uncooperative and had a felony warrant. After a short standoff, PSD Bono apprehended the suspect.
