January 3, 2022

Suspicious Subject – 1:09 p.m. – 6800 block of Katella Ave. – From a suspicious person call for service, a male subject was arrested for shoplifting, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Patrol Check – 4:07 p.m. – Lincoln/Bloomfield – From a patrol check, a male subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and a second male subject was arrested for outstanding warrants.

January 4, 2022

Stolen Vehicle – 4:33 a.m. – 4100 block of Larwin Ave. – The vehicle, a Chevy, was stolen between 10:00 the day before and 4:30 a.m. today. The vehicle was located and recovered in Long Beach by Long Beach Police Department.
Catalytic Converter Theft – 8:58 a.m. – 9000 block of Brownstone Circle – Between 12-27-21 and 1-3-22, an unknown suspect stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s Ford.

January 5, 2022

Arrest – 12:11 p.m. – 10000 block of Valley View St. – From a transient-related call for service, a male subject was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Bike Stop – 11:21 p.m. – Knott/Recycle – From a bike stop, a male subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and delaying an officer.

January 6, 2022

Catalytic Converter Theft – 1:50 a.m. – 9800 block of Ravari – A victim reported a possible catalytic converter theft, with the suspect fleeing in a black Toyota pickup truck. Officers surrounded the district, and within a few minutes the suspect vehicle, a black Chevy Silverado, exited onto Moody St. Two male subjects were arrested for grand theft. The victim’s catalytic converter was located in the bed of the suspect vehicle.
Commercial Burglary – 4:43 a.m. – 5300 block of Katella Ave. – The owner of the business was notified that his alarm had activated at approximately 4:35 a.m. He responded to the business and observed that the west window had been shattered. At the time of this log, he was unable to confirm an exact loss. The suspect had cut himself on the glass and blood was collected at the scene.

January 7, 2022

Vehicle Burglary Report – 10:05 a.m. – 4400 block of Casa Grande Cir. – Overnight, an unknown suspect punched the lock to the victim’s vehicle and stole miscellaneous documents.
Suspicious Subjects – 12:36 p.m. – 5700 block of Orange Ave. – From a call of suspicious subjects at Oak Knoll Park, police arrested a male subject for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released.
Stolen Vehicle – 1:26 p.m. – 4000 block of Orange Ave. – Between 12:30 p.m. and 1:20 p.m., an unknown suspect stole the victim’s vehicle from the street. The pickup truck contained approximately $15,000.00 worth of tools.

January 8, 2022

Traffic Stop – 1:22 a.m. – 4900 block of Katella Ave. – From a traffic stop, police arrested a male subject for reckless driving. His vehicle was towed and he was cited and released at the scene.
Pedestrian Check – 8:26 a.m. – 5700 block of Camp St. – From a pedestrian check, police arrested a male subject for a no-bail warrant and for lying about his identity. He was later transported to Orange County Jail for booking.
Attempted Vehicle Theft – 6:56 p.m. – 5900 block of Corporate – A victim telephoned police, stating a male subject was standing outside his vehicle and attempting to have it towed. When the victim confronted the subject, he said he had just purchased the vehicle and was having it towed to his motel in the City of Anaheim. The subject was gone on the arrival of officers. The victim’s truck was current on payments and legally parked. Officers are conducting follow up on the suspect and suspect vehicle.

January 9, 2022

Grand Theft – 8:57 a.m. – 4200 block of Via Norte – Occurred overnight, an unknown suspect stole approximately $2,100.00 worth of personal property from the victim’s unlocked vehicle.
Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 10:03 a.m. – 9000 block of Bloomfield Ave. – From an anonymous tip, police located an unreported stolen 2012 Hyundai Genesis. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded to the registered owner’s address in Carson and entered the vehicle into SVS. Officers recovered the vehicle and removed it from SVS.
Vehicle Burglary – 12:56 p.m. – 4400 block of Casa Grande Cir. – Occurred overnight, an unknown suspect gained entry to the victim’s locked vehicle by unknown means and stole a handgun from the glovebox.
