Long Beach Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell endorses Suzie Price for Long Beach Mayor

Long Beach Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell announced his endorsement of City Councilwoman Suzie Price for Long Beach City Mayor.

“I wholeheartedly endorse Councilwoman Suzie Price to be the next Mayor of Long Beach,” says O’Donnell. “Suzie is the best candidate to rapidly address homelessness and ensure our neighborhoods are safe for all constituents. I admire the hard work and dedication she has to the City of Long Beach. I believe she will create a brighter future based on pragmatic and forward thinking initiatives. Suzie will be an incredible Mayor for the City of Long Beach.”

Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell has represented the 70th District of California since being elected in 2014, representing Long Beach, San Pedro, Signal Hill and Catalina Island. O’Donnell served over 20 years as a teacher, and brings his expertise as an education to his current role as Chair of the Assembly Education Committee, consistently expanding funding and programing for schools across California. O’Donnell also serves as the Chair of the Assembly Select Committee on Ports and Goods Movement, supporting efforts to grow the maritime industry and solve complex challenges facing the Port of Long Beach and Los Angeles. He is known for his legislation that directly assists his constituents, including environmental measures, expanding disability rights, and financial literacy.

“I am proud to have Assemblymember O’Donnell’s endorsement in this race,” says Price. “Assemblymember O’Donnell has been a champion for working families and workers throughout this city for almost two decades. His commitment to making our education systems stronger and more inclusive is something our family and so many others have benefited from. I’m appreciative of his support.”

Mom, Councilwoman, Small Business Owner, and Prosecutor, Suzie Aramesh Price is running for Mayor to get Long Beach back to basics, with a competent and functional City Government focused on improving the quality of life for its residents. Elected in 2014 and re-elected in 2018, Price was the first Democrat elected to Council District 3 in 42 years. On the City Council, Suzie has worked across district lines to focus on homelssenss, public safety, street repair, infrastructure investment, improving and expanding our green spaces, and ensuring Long Beach remains a place where you can afford to buy a home and start a business. Suzie and her husband Mark, a military veteran, have lived in Long Beach for 20 years where they are raising their two boys.
