I am not certain you can put a 30+ year career into a paragraph or two and manage to do it justice just like I can never adequately express my gratitude for our highly effective and compassionate City Council and the wonderfully caring Community for their support of our police department. Having had the opportunity to work under the direct leadership of City Manager Chet Simmons who has always led authentically and purposefully has been a gift my last two years. The City Staff are truly the crème de la crème and some of the hardest working people I know in those roles. I could never thank my two Captains or police management team for their leadership and solid work ethic. Everything we have accomplished in keeping the officers and professional staff focused on our mission of keeping our community safe and thriving is due to their leadership and the frontline personnel going above and beyond the call of duty.

I especially want to thank my previous assistant Catherine Howard who helped show me the ropes at Los Al and my current assistant Veronica Wilson who kept me off of them by always being in my corner and being the heart and soul of our police department.

Finally, I could never thank you, the community for allowing me to serve as your police chief and trusting our police personnel to always do the right thing, even when we have gotten it wrong, I felt we were given the benefit of the doubt, which gave us time to get better, be better and do better in serving and protecting our community. It is because of you that I have been able to provide my family with the stable means to grow and enrich their lives which is a blessing I will never forget. I will end by simply saying, Thank You, from the bottom of my heart and peace be with you all.
