In the 1970s, Hard Rock band Queen shattered music charts with a flurry of hits, including We Are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody, and We Will Rock You. On stage, the English quartet was widely known for its theatrics (smoke bombs and flash pots) and flamboyant lead singer Freddie Mercury’s over-the-top pomp and glam persona.

Queen delivered eight Gold and six Platinum records, including The Game, which was the group’s first No. One album in the United States. The record featured the Rockabilly hit Crazy Little Thing Called Love and the Disco song Another One Bites the Dust. Queen was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001.

The tribute One Night of Queen celebrates the timeless music and legend of the group that was named to VH1’s “100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock.” Gary Mullen portrays the larger-than-life Mercury. Other members of the tribute band include Billy Moffa, Jon Halliwell, Malcolm Gentles, and David Brockett. The group has played at London’s Hyde Park as part of the prestigious BBC Proms concert series.
