February 3, 2022

Extra Patrol Checks – 11:48 a.m. – 7100 block of Bon Villa Cir. – Extra patrol checks requested for an unknown male subject approaching the residence. The reporting party had surveillance of the subject being dropped off three times.
Counseling – 3:32 p.m. – 8100 block of Walker St. – The reporting party stated that a staff member looked at her daughter through a stall in the bathroom. The caller’s special needs daughter claimed that the female staff security guard did not identify herself. The female security guard was doing a routine bathroom check during the class period. When the student did not respond in the restroom, the guard was concerned for the daughter, who continued not to respond. Security told the daughter that she could see her in the restroom and to respond. Mother and staff would have a meeting the following day and would contact police as necessary.

February 4, 2022

Robbery Report – 12:17 a.m. – 5200 block of La Luna Dr. – A female subject was yelling for help outside the residence. Police contacted an elderly female, who advised that a male subject pushed her down and stole her purse. Property was found in front of an address in the 5200 block of La Luna. The subject was transported to the hospital. Report taken.
Transient – 9:39 a.m. – 5000 block of Crescent Ave. – A transient was possibly sleeping on the property. The subject left prior to the arrival of police. No further assistance needed.
Counseling – 4:45 p.m. – 8200 block of Walker St. – When the reporting party picked up their son from school, the son had a metal handcuff stuck on his right wrist. The other party was another student who put the handcuff on as a prank and told the son that he had a key. The son stated that it was because a girl he was dating chose him over the other party.
Petty Theft Report – 10:10 p.m. – 5100 block of La Luna Dr. – The caller reported a package theft that occurred three or four minutes prior. The reporting party was alerted by Ring video. The loss was a vacuum. No suspect information at this time. Report taken.

February 5, 2022

Unknown Trouble – 1:53 a.m. – Moody/La Palma – A subject in a white Jeep was possibly suffering from a gunshot wound to the stomach. The vehicle was stopped in traffic. Police cleared the area for OCFA to enter. The suspect was described as a male Asian in his early 20s wearing a black hoodie, black shirt, and gold chain. The victim was transported to the hospital. Police searched the area for evidence and possible surveillance footage of the crime scene.
Disturbance (Subject) – 11:36 a.m. – La Palma/Rose – The caller advised that a possible road rage suspect exited a vehicle then headed westbound La Palma in a black SUV. Police were unable to locate the subject.

February 6, 2022

STAR Team Callout – 3:55 a.m. – Pacific Coast Hwy./Anderson (Seal Beach) – La Palma Police responded to Seal Beach for a traffic accident investigation. Officers went to the hospital where a passenger was transported.
Drunk Driver – 7:13 p.m. – La Palma/Walker – A possible DUI driver was reportedly swerving on Bloomfield and almost ran the reporting party off the road. The subject was driving a white Honda Civic and was last seen eastbound on La Palma heading to northbound Walker. Police were unable to locate the subject on a patrol check.

February 7, 2022

Welfare Check – 8:45 a.m. – Moody/Houston – A female subject reportedly threw a bike and stood in front of oncoming traffic. The subject was located on the property of a church. The church wanted her advised regarding trespassing. Incident handled by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Extra Patrol Checks – 6:37 p.m. – Houston/Del Mar – The caller reported street racing had increased along Houston between Moody and Walker and requested extra patrol checks of the area. The caller also heard racing vehicles on Friday night (February 4).

February 8, 2022

Patrol Check – 7:17 a.m. – 6800 block of Walker St. – A patrol check was conducted of the flood control channel by Walker Well. Police contacted a subject and performed a search. A 50-year-old subject was subsequently arrested for possession of unlawful paraphernalia. Subject released on citation.
Counseling – 11:19 p.m. – 7792 Walker St. – The reporting party believed that La Palma Police officers were following him and requested to speak with the Watch Commander.

February 9, 2022

Disturbance (Subject) – 10:03 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A subject reportedly threw items at the reporting party. The subject was last seen walking towards Walmart in the parking lot. The reporting party did not desire prosecution. The subject was advised regarding trespassing.
Counseling – 6:16 p.m. – 5100 block of Del Sol Cir. – The caller reported a hit and run of a parked vehicle which occurred on January 14, 2022 at 12:24 a.m. The reporting party had surveillance from their residence and a neighbor and advised that they received a letter from their insurance regarding a claim filed by the other party. The reporting party had been unable to retrieve the other party’s information. Counseled regarding a civil issue.
