State Senate candidate, Assemblywoman Janet Nguyen, announced that she has received the endorsement of New Majority OC in her campaign for Senate District 36.
“State Senator Janet Nguyen came to this country in search of freedom and the American Dream and she has come to embody the promise of America,” said Steve Craig, Interim Chairman, New Majority Orange County. “Sen. Nguyen has broken down barriers and is widely recognized as a leader who champions common-sense policies that foster freedom and economic growth. Sen. Nguyen has been elected to lead at the city, county and state level and is the right person to represent the people of the 36th Senate District.”
Janet is a small-business owner and a former State Senator and Orange County Supervisor. She is former Vice-President of Government and Public Affairs for a local Chamber of Commerce.
As a State Legislator, Janet Nguyen was named Legislator of the Year by the American Legion, the Association of the United States Army, and the Vietnam Veterans of America. She was named “Champion of Manufacturing” by the California Manufacturers and Technology Association for her work to protect jobs. Janet Nguyen received top ratings from California’s leading taxpayer groups and small business organizations, including the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association and California Taxpayers Association.
Janet Nguyen is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine. She and her husband Tom Bonikowski live in Huntington Beach with their two elementary sons. She has resided in the district for over thirty years.
