Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire awarded $120,000 grant from the Sharon D. Lund Foundation

Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire, a local chapter of the nationally recognized organization that grants wishes to critically-ill children, has been awarded a three-year, $120,000 grant from the Sharon D. Lund Foundation. The funding will allow Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire to continue providing hope for children battling critical illnesses. The Sharon D. Lund Foundation, led by Michelle Lund, is a charitable organization which supports arts, health and wellness, human services, and higher education initiatives involving child and youth development.

“We continue to find new ways to safely grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses, and this generous grant could not have come at a better time,” said Gloria Jetter Crockett, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire. “We are so grateful to the Sharon D. Lund Foundation for their generosity and partnership in support of our mission. Our collective work to provide hope to our wish kids is truly life-changing for everyone involved. This funding will allow us to keep our momentum going forward as we serve wish kids and their families in Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside counties.”

“As longtime supporters of the mission, we are so moved by the healing joy that a wish can bring to a child navigating a critical illness. The level of care, kindness, and creativity poured into each wish creates an unforgettable experience for each child, as well as powerful ripples of goodness for families, friends, medical workers and anyone who witnesses a wish being granted. We’re thankful for the amazing team of wish granters in Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties” said Karen Presley, Vice President of Grants and Community Relations for the Sharon D. Lund Foundation.
