Long Beach Council District 4 community leader Kay Cofield endorses Suzie Price for Mayor

Long Beach Council District 4 Community Leader Kay Cofield announced her endorsement of Suzie Price For Mayor for Long Beach City Mayor.

The endorsement comes on the heels of Price raising $300,000 in four weeks and receiving endorsements from Long Beach Unified School District Board Member Doug Otto, Long Beach Councilmembers Daryl Supernaw and Stacy Mungo, Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell, and Senator Tom Umberg among others.

“I support Suzie Price because I have seen first hand her responsiveness to her constituents, as well as her pragmatic, fair, and unbiased approach to addressing city-wide issues,” says Cofield. “She is compassionate and committed to pursuing common sense policies and accountability.”

Kay Cofield is a 50+ year resident of Long Beach. She is proud to have moved here deliberately in 1970 to give her daughter the opportunity to grow up in a special beach community. As an entrepreneur, she has owned and operated a video production company for 25 years and has been deeply engaged in various community service projects in the city since 1988, serving on two city commissions: the Cable Advisory and Cultural Heritage Commissions. She is a lifetime member of Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club of Long Beach, on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Business Council, a Co-Founder of the Atherton South Neighborhood Association, a past president and current Board Member of the Professional Business Associates, and a Co-Founder of the Friends of Long Beach Municipal Band.

“I am grateful for Kay’s endorsement of my candidacy for Mayor of Long Beach,” says Price. “Kay has dedicated her life to serving the City of Long Beach on numerous commissions and boards, and I admire her commitment to improving our community. She is an incredible mother, business owner, and public servant, and serves as an excellent example of what women are capable of. Thank you for entrusting me with leading our great city.”

Mom, Councilwoman, Small Business Owner, and Deputy District Attorney, Suzie Price is running for Mayor to get Long Beach back to basics, with a competent and functional City Government focused on improving the quality of life for its residents.
