Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents An Evening With Rita Rudner

Segerstrom Center for the Arts presents Rita Rudner on Thursday, April 7 at 7:30pm. One of the country’s top comedians, Rita Rudner brings her sharp wit, droll observations and genius one-liners to Samueli Theater. In her famously soft-spoken delivery, Rudner kills with hilarious and true observations about the differences between men and women, marriage, kids, aging, Botox and, of course, shopping (her favorite pastime).

Over the course of a 14-year run in Las Vegas, Rita has sold 1.5 million tickets to become the longest-running solo comedy show in Sin City’s history, winning “Comedian of the Year” nine years in row. Her comedy specials on both HBO, Showtime and PBS have also delighted fans for years. And not content to keep ‘em laughing on stage and screen, Rita is also a New York Times bestselling author, having written 5 books including Naked Beneath My Clothes: Rita Rudner’s Guide to Men and I Still Have it… I Just Can’t Remember where I Put It!

Rita Rudner has been a house-filling favorite in Las Vegas since she opened as one of the hottest tickets in town in June 2000, Rudner is known for her epigrammatic one-liners. Over the course of a multi-year run she sold almost two million tickets, grossed over a hundred million dollars and become the longest-running solo female comedy show in the history of Las Vegas. She was named Las Vegas’s Comedian of The Year nine years in a row and in 2006 received The Nevada Ballet’s Woman Of The Year Award. In October 2017 she was given the Casino Entertainment Legend Award.
