Michelle Steel: Doubling taxes isn’t enough for Jay Chen

Apparently doubling taxes on California families isn’t enough for Jay Chen.

As an ardent supporter of Joe Biden and his Build Back Better agenda that includes the so-called “Inflation Reduction Act”, Chen now backs increasing taxes in the middle of a recession and arming the IRS with 87,000 new employees to target Southern California families.

According to the Washington Free Beacon, “the agency would receive $80 billion in funding to hire as many as 87,000 additional employees. The increase would more than double the size of the IRS workforce, which currently has 78,661 full-time staffers, according to federal data.”

A report from the Joint Committee on Taxation says small business owners and those making under $200,000 will bear the brunt of the plan Chen supports.

“Perhaps the next time Jay Chen poses for Instagram at a restaurant, he can explain to the small business owners why he backs the Biden/Pelosi plan to not only raise their taxes but also arm the IRS to take even more of their hard-earned money,” said Michelle Steel Spokesman Lance Trover.

  1. What a load of garbage. “Doubling taxes.” How precise. Everybody is going to get their taxes “doubled.” In typical Republican fashion, Steel lies, exaggerates, and misrepresents.

And hell yeah! It’s about time that the IRS cracks down on tax cheats so the US Government can pay its bills and borrow less for today’s children to pay off later. Just because Trump and his lackeys in Congress made it a habit to ring up the largest budget deficits in US history doesn’t mean we have to continue this insanity. More taxing of those who benefit the most from our economy. Thank you President Biden for a job well done!

  2. Since Rep Michelle Steel and Rep Young Kim are so interested in “transparency” in government, why don’t you demand transparency from a former president who was a Republican about why he removed classified material from the White House at the end of his term. I bet that was done at the request of Russian President Putin who Republican adore even though is a war criminal and spy. Espionage and Treason, where is the transparency Michelle Steel

  3. Don’t quote the “Washington Free Beacon” on anything that you represent as truthful. The Washington Free Beacon is owned by hedge fund manager Paul Singer, aka: a vulture capitalist. Mr Singer benefited from Inflation Reduction Act because he gets to keep his carried interest tax loophole. An exception rovided by a Democrat, but I’m sure the Republicans were all cheering in the background that someone from the opposite party did their dirty work for them. Michelle Steel’s big money contributors are upset about the extra funding for the IRS because the new personnel are for tax compliance work, The big contributors to Michelle Steel don’t want to be audited, so they have paid off the Republicans for decades to slowly starve the IRS. Don’t forget Michelle Steel, vote NO on HR 5376, even if it does help your district. Your Republican leadership wants you to vote no. Just don’t issue a press release before the election to take credit for something positive in the bill that benefits your constituents.
