October 15, 2022

Flag Down – 2:26 a.m. – Westra/Crestview – A subject flagged down police regarding a vehicle with its trunk open. Police found that there were multiple personal items in the trunk and it did not appear to be ransacked. The trunk was subsequently closed.
Area Check – 6:39 a.m. – 91/Orangethorpe – California Highway Patrol advised that there reportedly was a traffic collision between a vehicle and a pole after the vehicle hydroplaned. La Palma Police checked the on and off ramps in the area, and they all checked okay.

October 16, 2022

Disturbance (Subject) – 11:50 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A female subject was reportedly yelling at customers. The store manager requested the subject be warned for trespassing. The subject was advised.
Petty Theft Report – 7:54 p.m. – 5900 block of La Palma Ave. – A petty theft was reported from the business at 6:38 p.m. The reporting party had an item list and surveillance ready. Report taken.

October 17, 2022

Medical Aid – 1:16 p.m. – 8200 block of Walker St. – A female subject was possibly having a seizure with heart problems. OCFA responded and the subject was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
Suspicious Subject – 1:26 p.m. – 5000 block of Cordoba Cir. – A male subject reportedly knocked on the front door and the caller’s daughter’s window approximately 3 minutes ago. Police contacted the subject and conducted a probation search. A field interview card was taken with the subject, who was cooperative.

October 18, 2022

Disturbance (Neighbor) – 11:58 a.m. – 5100 block of Dover Dr. – A subject was reportedly being loud and yelling in the neighborhood. The subject was reportedly a repeat offender. No crime at this time.
Assault/Battery Report – 3:51 p.m. – 5500 block of Orangethorpe Ave. – A 17-year-old male subject reportedly committed an assault in front of the location.

October 19, 2022

Citizen Assist – 7:01 a.m. – Undisclosed location – The reporting party has a dog acquired during a relationship. The now-divorced husband would not give a dog back. Advised to go to small claims court.
Extra Patrol Checks – 7:52 a.m. – Walker/Crescent – Extra patrol checks were requested for pedestrians almost run over due to drivers making right turns on red lights and not yielding to pedestrians.

October 20, 2022

Found Property – 5:08 p.m. – 7821 Walker St. (Central Park) – A City employee found a small bag with two pills in the park near the gazebo. Report taken.
Counseling – 8:07 p.m. – Orangethorpe/Walker – The caller advised that their 12 and 13-year-old nieces were out walking a dog and an unknown subject was possibly taking pictures of them from a vehicle. Counseled.

October 21, 2022

Petty Theft Report – 1:53 a.m. – 5400 block of La Palma Ave. – A male subject reportedly took donuts and alcohol. No report desired.
Burglary Report – 4:56 a.m. – Centerpointe Dr. – The glass on the front door was reportedly broken in the last hour. The tool was left at the scene. The interior checked okay.
