Gerald Earl Cavanaugh, 49, was found stabbed to death on San Francisco’s Ocean Beach. Cavanaugh was the first victim in an unsolved series of stabbing murders of gay men by a man nicknamed The Doodler for his practice of drawing charicatures of bar patrons in the Castro District. [Source: The Awl.]
