A 7.1 magnitude earthquake shook the Mojave Desert northwest of Ridgecrest at 8:19 p.m. In northwest Orange County, it was felt as a (very) long series of rolling waves. Protestors marched peacefully in Cypress from the entrance to Los Alamitos Race Course east along Katella Avenue to Valley View Street and back.
