The Federal Bureau of Investigation captures Patty Hearst, granddaughter of newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst, in San Francisco. Hearst was kidnapped on Feb. 4, 1974, by members of the Symbionese Liberation Army. She later took part in some of the group’s militant activities.
