NAMIWalks

Mark your calendar and lace up your walking shoes! The National Alliance on Mental Illness, NAMI for short, is thrilled to be partnering with Nyjah Huston, Pro Skateboarder, the 2021 Grand Master for NAMIWalks, to raise mental health awareness in the community and the entire country. All of NAMI’s programs are free of cost. This is possible through the donations received during the NAMIWalk. NAMI supports parents, teens, and adults experiencing &/or loving someone with a mental health condition. NAMIWalks means “putting one foot in front of the other,” in whatever way you can. This is an in-person event as well as a virtual event, whichever option works better for you.
The in-person event, NAMIWalks, will take place at Angel Stadium, 2000 E. Gene Autry Way, Anaheim, CA 92806 on Saturday, Nov. 20th from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. PST. The Walk begins at 9:00 a.m. Catholic Mental Health Ministers, led by Margery Arnold as captain, will sponsor a group to walk at Angel Stadium. The theme is “Walking With You and For You.” Walkers are asked to obtain donations to raise funds to support this effort. There is no fee to register as a walker or team captain. Every person who raises $100 will be recognized on walk day with an event T- shirt.
