The Huntington Beach Council on Aging and the Senior Center in Central Park are excited to announce EVERGREEN, a new annual giving program that will honor ongoing donors with a with a leaf on the new “Tree of Life” placed at the Senior Center in Central Park. The tree will honor donors who have given in excess of $20,000 since the center opened in 2016, along with donors at various levels beginning with $1,000.

EVERGREEN categories of giving are named after some of the tallest trees on Earth, including the beloved General Sherman, which came close to burning this past summer. Categories include Hyperion, the world’s tallest tree, a Sequoia reaching a height of 380 ft. Centurion, Spartacus and General Sherman donation categories range between $1,000 and $20,000. Donors with cumulative donations of $25,000 or more since 2016 will receive permanent recognition on the EVERGREEN Tree of Life with a unique and larger leaf.

The preview and official unveiling of this permanent tribute wall will take place November 3, 4pm – 6pm. Hors de oeuvre and champagne will be available. The champagne toast will take place at 4:30 at the time of the unveiling.

RSVP for the event at 714-374-1517 or at Heather.Dodd@surfcity-hb.org. For further information on the EVERGREEN campaign, or to donate, please contact Randy Pesqueira at 714-536-5543.
